I was in touch with Nubila on multiple fronts. I own one Marco unit + one node. Additionally, I was trying to help with app bug fixing (by reporting issue a month ago that was never fixed), managed to break my Marco and asked support for spare parts (first response was to buy a new unit just for broken propeler, later I got an answer that spare part is available for 15$ - but that was 1-2 weeks later when I already glued my unit to perfection).

We are now almost a month after TGE It was said initially that nodes would be running after TGE, but we never got a guide on how to run them. For the last 3 weeks, it has always been the same sentence: “Please wait for announcements“. Fine, I took my focus elsewhere and just kept waiting.

Eventually, as a sugar on top. I am one of the winners of their social media giveaway. Now hear me out, Nubila was supposed to give 500$ to 20 winners.


Timeline:

  • November 4th - Winners are announced by Wingbits (this was a collaboration post between two projects), with Nubila will reach out soon to winners for rewards.

  • November 6th - Nubila reached out, saying to provide the EVM wallet address where NB tokens will be deposited… after providing the address, radio silence

  • November 10th - Nubila sends our message that the token is on the BSC chain and that it will be sent out next week. Again, radio silence.

  • November 23rd - Nubila sends out an announcement, sorry for the above. Rewards will be sent out after Wingbits has TGE, which is unknown date.

Now I can understand that market conditions are not perfect, and that the token price tanked heavily. I can even understand that they don’t want to pay out rewards now bcz of that. We are all reasonable people. What I can’t understand and WON’T and the only reason I am writing this is team communication.

You will always get one of a few answers like a broken record. Either please wait, or we will. While there is 0 actionable progress, you can see a few posts about partnerships and random posting. NODEs, which should be an important validation layer, have not been running for almost a month after launch. Roadmap is non-existent. And with this giveaway saga, we can clearly see that the team is lying. If they only, honestly said sorry, guys, market conditions are shit. We can’t deliver rewards now, but we will at some point. That would be a million times better than this constant delay and clear laying.

With all that I experienced on X, Discord, and DMs. I can’t recommend this project to anyone! Which is a shame since it was a nicely packaged project with a lot of potential. At the moment, I can only hope that it will get better in the future, but with all of this and a 90+% price drop with the majority of our tokens locked out still (that was supposed to protect the price). There is only one winner here, and it is not the community or the depin owners.

Ive been having issues also. Don't even know if my nodes are working. Cant connect my vechain wallet to em. I own 4 marcos 3 cloud nodes and 1 rain node and idk wth is going on. FYI NUBILA MARCOS $199.99 AT HOME DEPOT

They made a giveaway, now not sending the prize.
They said I’ll be in two weeks a months ago, then they changed their mind and essentially told us later in some undetermined time at Wingbits TGE, trash.

I currently own 2 marcos and 2 nodes one is sunny and one is cloudy. But tbf it’s more like pure misery. The marcos themselves are absolute awful they claim to be able to keep themselves going through solar energy and unless you live directly on the equator with constant sun, they don’t hold their charge, admittedly deploying the devices isn’t too bad and they look really cool. Now nodes, my explicit advice to anyone is always to check the docs. Whenever investing in a DePIN project always read up about a project to make sure it fits your portfolio. When checking the docs you can clearly see the project has the following 1, states an airdrop of X for the respective token. 2, states a pre-TGE output of X tokens per day 3, states a post-TGE output of X tokens per day (mirrors the pre-TGE respective to type of node you have) So with this in mind I bought my sunny node and was very happy with the numbers I was seeing, however the docs are not actually true. There is no output pre-TGE and the airdrop is to count for that. So I open a ticket and start getting details confirmed by AK who is on the Nubila team. Who confirmed the output would not start until TGE. That was 2 weeks ago and I’m still not getting any rewards. Everytime you ask them (bearing in mind my sunny node cost me 1500 USD so that needs to be earning) they tell me to wait, they’ve persistently kept this going along with others who have various waiting times for various things to claim. So my advice to anyone is to cease investment into Nubila until they can start rewarding the users they currently have that have invested. I’d go as far at this point to claim this as a scam as normally it’s a DYOR vibe with these types of things, but I did that and Nubila has genuinely falsely advertised what they are actually doing. To get sales? Maybe? But this is by far the worst investment in my portfolio.

This was one of the easiest projects to set up. It provides accurate information, and I actually use it as a regular weather station (despite what it may potentially earn me in passive income when the tokens port over). Its self sufficient with the solar panel (HUGE bonus) and wireless. I can mount it anywhere, it stays charged to 100% and connects to my wifi. I cant say what a benefit it is not to have to provide power, nor internet connection or data cables to this device.

Is this a device that can be fed straight ethernet cable or is it a wifi variant? Is there a direct cable connection option?

@DrDetroit This is only WIFI, no ethernet connectivity on this. The device itself is entirely self sufficient with the solar panel which keeps it at 100 battery all of the time. So long as its within distance of your wifi connection, you can mount it anywhere and its a “set it and forget it” item. Please disregard my past comment, I think I thought I was posting about a different item.

@DrDetroit I have mine hooked up via wifi. But I think how it works is when it hooks back up it'll download the data and update. Not so sure it always needs to he connected to gather the data. But look into to make sure.

I agree. The setup was mostly a breeze lol. The only snag I ran into so far was using the Vechain wallet and cookie issues. I think this project is going to be massive.

The project is easy to setup and not overly complicated. The miner is portable so you are not tied down to one location. You dont always need Wifi you collect your data and it stores it for a period of time then when you reconnect it updates. The growth and potiental for this project is tremendous and its showing little by little. Remember, partnersips are important.

The product design is awesome. I really like the blue light that glows in the dark.

The structure for rewarding points is very unique and logical.

I will like to see more of the use cases of the data that is being gathered. I will like to see more partnerships within Africa and I do not mind being of assistance with this.
