I am in Florida as well and it gets hot. I think we hit 92 degrees this last weekend in my location.
Please let us know what they say. Being in the hot sun in addition to the electronics generating heat, I definetly can see heat being an issue. I am surprised there is not some sort of cooling fan.

I know a few people who have had dead units. More common than I expected. So it happens. You are already contacting the correct place which is Hyfix. They are the ones who handle this. The pattern I’ve noticed is it’s people in hot areas the units seems to overheat and stop working.

I’m in south Texas. Very hot. When I first installed and heat around 100 Deg. F my temp was peaking at 70 to 75 Celsius. I didn’t notice performance Issues. I”m 95 to 100F daily. At night it cools down to 55-60C. During the day i’m now running 65-70C. At this moment it’s 67C and outside temp is 93F. I have steady natural airflow over the unit in this area. Hot and very sunny.
I read somewhere it was tested in a hot environment to withstand this heat and check operation. Natural heat sinks, wind. Maybe the base rod attachment is the main heat sink as it’s attached to a long metal rod that looks like it could dissipate heat. If so, that would be a good point to make in the manual.
