Yea I did a lot! Offered about 35% of the rewards to host. Gotta make sure the host is willing to keep it up also that was a huge issue for me with some host.

@CoinChaser Great! How did you get in contact with the hosts and engage them afterward? We keep getting told that our compensation is too low when we reach out to hosts… we’re offering similar %

@VEMP We found host through Helium Deploy. I guess the way to pitch them is by explaining them that the rewards won’t be linear but more outsized in the case that Helium does well. I would show them the example of 2023 December when Mobile did 20X.

I run fleets in multiple projects; incentives for the hosts are variable depending on the project and the host location…. for example a host in the US might not care about a couple dollars a day and would require a much larger split %, but a host in a developing country might jump at the chance for a couple dollars a day.
Best way to find hosts is to be active in multiple projects. For example I’ve found hosts for Geodnet from connections I’ve had in Hivemapper. Casting a large net helps find those people, and once you find good hosts then you can ultimately work with them and offer them extra incentives if they bring you additional hosts.
