Hi @UFO
The NFT is there as a pre requisite to purchasing a new DeEEP device from them when they see demand. You are right, all the 1776 founder devices are sold out, these have their NFT already pre-installed.
The NFT basically gets you in a line to purchase the new device when they get released. The DeEEP team have stated in some YouTube videos, that the devices will continue to be sold by them for a little while, but they may move to a model where you can provide your own hardware and use the NFT. The problems they see with this, is getting users to provide hardware of the correct specifications.
Once TGE happens, and people can see the ROI on these, hopefully as much as some influencers are saying, then the hardware will be for sale to only those who have an NFT.
Things are going slowly, but you’ll notice this happens with most new DePIN launches.

@DePIN_Pete good explanation! The Moken team asked me to jump in here as well, I am Chris Corrado one of the project founders I think Pete hit most of it here!!! I am glad to see the active engagement on the project here - I’ll try to be more engaged here going forward.
A few additional nuggets… The NFTs (software licenses, with a few other features) were included in the founders devices that were initially sold - for future purchases the NFT will be required to join the network and this is a way to get a “place" in line for the next capacity release.
We haven’t pushed this NFT sale hard or with a lot of attention; we are working on TGE, workloads on the network, and workload partnerships for launch.
