@andszabi84 yes, you need a subscription for the Multimining tab to show up. You can buy a month for about $2 I think or lifetime license for $25. Without a subscription, you can still connect and install things with SSH.
If you have an old Helium IoT miner and are wondering what other uses it might have, I recommend you look into converting it to a multi-miner.
Thanks to the Crankk team's firmware and documentation I was able to convert my Bobcat 300 to a multi-miner with very little effort. So now my Bobcat is still mining HNT, but also CRKK, Anyone.io, Grass and some other not quite crypto bandwidth sharing things like Honeygain. I was very impressed with how easy their instructions made the process and they have quite the list of IoT miner hardware that CrankkOS can run on as well.
I think the Bit Harvest Studio team also has similar multi-miner conversion capabilities for a number of Helium IoT miners. I decided to try Crankk first because their Bobcat conversion process worked via SD card without opening the case to access the debug USB port.
Do you know of any other options for breathing new life into old Helium IoT miners?
Hi I installed that firmware also , but so far I dont have the multi mining option for me , its a bobcat 300, does it need to be purchased a subscription for multi mining ? by the way thank you for your post, and for the information…
Have a nice day.
