I can see the use case in projects that do track energy uses, but for the average person it just doesn’t matter. What problem is this solving? A good DePIN project should fix some already existing problem.

I’ve got an emporia vue for my power monitoring. Breaker level ct monitors that clamp on easily. The whole reduces power none sense needs a massive disclaimer since you need to spend the time finding out what actually uses power. I found an old deep freeze was 20% of my monthly bill. Ditched it for just a cheap costco one and BAM less bills. As long as a power meter is supported by Home Assistant and other open platforms its a win. With mini power grids and more electronics in houses being able to monitor and have 2 way power monitoring makes a lot of sense.
