Hivemapper has officially launched their partnership cell plan with Helium where you can order a SIM for your LTE Bee for $10 per month. The SIM will be locked to your Bee device, so you can’t put it in your phone (supposedly), and also noteworthy is that this will be an unlimited plan for Bee data with no caps.
Note that per MIP-24 your rewards are based on how quickly you upload the data after your Bee captures it, so to maximize you either need to use Wifi Connect mode or App Mode to your phone with cellular uploads enabled, or use LTE directly from the Bee. Considering this plan is $10/month, it effectively means the Bee is $9/mo to rent from Hivemapper ($19/mo total)
As a reference, the global average earnings is about 0.37 honey/km. (last time I calculated it a couple months ago)
