@ROQ Wow! Now that’s proof of work right there! 😁
Seeing this thread lead me to go check the outdoor helium hotspot I had installed that was earning maybe .20 HNT/day for PoC with no data earnings at all. When I just checked it finally started pushing data and was up 10,000% for the previous 2 days. Since install it had earned just 9 HNT over first 60 days. In the previous 2 days it earned ~6 HNT.
@BogeysAndBlockchains from my experience, I’ve had my Helium Indoor at a photography studio in a small town since October 2024. I have 3 random carriers that are doing offloading, but I am the only person so far that has accumulated Data traffic on the Helium hotspot. The primary carriers around here are the big 3 and none are offloading off my hotspot.
The PoC alone since October 2024 was fantastic, but I’d say you would have to hope and pray you have enough traffic to get a big carrier to offload on the Helium. I am contemplating moving the Helium hotspot to my house since I have 3 devices I know will connect right to it. Since the Helium rewards were halved, I’m only getting $.20 to $.30 of PoC earnings a day compared to $1 to $1.20 last month.
Helium is how I started out and it’s exciting to work on, but the Carrier offload gamble is biting me now. BUT this is all based on your location, as you could have much better results than I.

@PacketThrower At $0.30 / day I should just pool mine with my Bitaxe 😅
Seriously though, I have a lot of foot traffic that goes by my hotspot (~15,000 - 20,000 / week) so there are a lot of different devices from all over the world that can connect.

@BogeysAndBlockchains Oh yes, you will have much different results that I would. I would say go for it!
I am curious, what type of venue are you anticipating putting this at?
I have not heard of Bitaxe before, what is this?

I live on the Seattle waterfront across from a multi-purpose venue where they have concerts, yoga, pop up markets etc and I have 3-4 cruise ships dock by me per week. Lots of foot traffic

@BogeysAndBlockchains what are you waiting on? You're in a perfect location for a Helium outdoor hotspot! 😂 You'll be killing it if you have at least 100+mbps download.
@elfotoguy+8cc59274 Alright, alright, I’ll get one! 😂
I have 2GBps up and down fiber so should be all good 😁

Based on the amount of traffic I am getting on my Karrier One, should I get a Helium hotspot? What would you assume I’d earn with one? (e.g. is it worth it??) and which one should I get? (I don’t really get the Helium hardware due to the evolution of the project.
I’d say go for it.. I bought the indoor and outdoor for my small business and I do decent with it. I bought mine about a year ago and it has paid for itself and then some. I give out free WiFi, but now get paid for it! I had 2 weeks of downtime last September due to a Hurricane, so this would have been higher. Also I’m in a small mountain town in Western NC.
