@Centurion_2K I would be curious to hear more about DeNet. I have a lvl 26 watcher node and cannot tell you why, but I religiously launch every couple hours. I am a trained monkey.

@bob_carsyn DeNet just launched the 1st phase of the node software. So if you purchased a node during the sale you can get it up and running. Basically I understand it as this:
The Node provides storage space to be rented out which in turn earns you DeNet tokens (TGE by end of this year).
Watcher Node is used on mobile devices and basically checks files on storage nodes to make sure there are enough copies for redundancy.
@Centurion_2K Do you have a Node? If so is it up and running? I looked at it but don’t have the TB’s to make it cost effective. I was also concerned that they did not have demand for the all nodes they sold. Interested to hear more!

@bob_carsyn I did purchase 1 node, it’s up and running. Currently in this 1st phase of the software release, it’s only testing uptime, hardware and that kind of stuff. No data is being stored just yet.
The project has been around, they started on Polygon blockchain, and are now switching to PEAQ. So there is already data/customers for Node Operators. I tossed in a 22TB drive in my rack mount for this project. So I’ll see how it goes. Like I mentioned before, I go heavily into the decentralized storage projects.

When I spoke to @arbawk he mentioned this could be for any project, not just projects sold by Moken.
I say post whatever is interesting to you, but do not look at it as a place to farm referrals.

@bob_carsyn Yeah we are looking to list a lot more projects to allow discussion for ones beyond what we have supported in the Tracker.
Looking forward to seeing the comments here if people think it’s deserving of a different section, or just the same as it is now with more projects listed.
In general we want to support discussion for any project that the DePIN community is using or evaluating.

What do you think about the option of adding a separate section, a link for other Depin projects that are not within the Moken forum and would be potentially interesting and maybe taken for deeper consideration and analysis.

I think it would be cool to have. I’m running a lot of projects that are available from HD, but also ones that I don’t ever recall being talked about here. Mostly I do a lot of HDD storage projects (Storj, Sia, Chia, and now DeNet).
