I think it is important to call out a few things. Youtubers generate revenue by views, commissions, and marketing campaigns. Retailers make money by selling devices, not by acting as your financial analyst. Sometimes, even the project itself is making money off device sales. No matter the situation, it is always your responsibility to look out for your own best interests because almost no one else is.
