It means your station is eligible for the bonus rewards in this epoch but it doesn’t meet the 7-day 99.9% RRR requirement to get them.
If it went away with the green G, then it just means the epoch ended and you (probably) didn’t get the bonus. If the shield went away but the G is still there then the station is now performing good enough to get the bonus rewards at the end of the epoch.
