Bro you have too high of expectations given it’s full on meme as claimed … just sit there and enjoy the show and the company. I kinda of like that culture when DePIN folks hanging around everywhere with a wieldo-looking whale/ape/snake (and sometimes a chair) on their head. Those guys (plus me) did not profit either, they just live that vibe.
Personally I think professionalism doesn’t blend into that culture very well … it’s more like a social experiment relying on autonomous self-organization. I almost feel like you are too professional to live with these odd little things

@UFO That might be, just my opinion and reasoning why I didn’t join in on the fun!
Top 5 for sure… the change of pace in the culture is almost “refreshing” compared to some of the discords that have the same 2-3 people hand holding every newcomer. If you can’t understand the market maybe you shouldn’t be putting your money into it…
@Nine_Ten_Drones definitely a cool project and love the idea for it to have different tiers of multipliers for having a combination of NFTs like the chair multiplier.
Didn’t buy in due to ignorance of the project but rather a lack of belief in the project anything other than short-term, as well as a lack of maturity and professionalism from leadership.
I am well aware of the shit-coin crypto world and my professional job is partially in the crypto sector so I wouldn’t consider myself a newcomer at this point.
I can see the culture being cool for some people but just wasn’t for me!
@NodeNomad It has all the same characteristics of every other project with the added benefit of nothing. There are chick fil a’s and there are taco bells. Everyone cant be the same. But one thing that is for sure is your experience was the same as everyone else’s. Some like the flavor and others don’t.
Roasting someone who didnt read the docs to understand ALL the details is part of the game, especially when they come in all whiny…. I know because I was “that guy”… now Im that guy with an NFT getting ready to buy a second :)
A few points of contention here:
The project asks that people do there research before asking questions that are clearly in the doc’s. Is the community a bit aggressive at times, sure. You have to have thick skin to hang.
“this is a full-on meme project “ - Has the project claimed to be anything other than this? This points back to point #1, if you did your research then this should not surprise you.
“it just doesn’t feel sustainable” - Entropy straddles itself between two worlds, DePIN & Memecoin. Therefore if you are using your standards for DePIN to define sustainable, then it will not fit in that box. Is Pudgy Penguins sustainable? Is Dogecoin sustainable? Just something to think about.

1. 100% agree with you people should do their own research and I see people asking uninformed questions all of the time in Depin projects and for veterans I can see how this would be frustrating day after day getting the same silly questions. But should hostility really be the first response to a genuine questions (I get it’s the internet), for me no it shouldn’t be. This isn’t me getting my feelings hurt by people in the discord, this is me being disgusted by how fellow human beings are treating each other.
2. Nope, neither did I, I’m just stating what I have found. I did a lot of my own research and have a decent idea of it and why I ultimately decided not to buy when the drop went live last month.
3. Again, this was MY opinion that it isn’t sustainable, you do not have to agree with that. “you don’t want to be the last one holding the bag“
Thanks for your reply 👍
I hate seeing new people run off from a project for no reason.
You've called the admins’ words sparky, immature, and now hostile. Must have been pretty awful. I'm curious, what did they say to you?
@artex440 Like I mentioned previously, I’ve been around the DePIN space for a while, so I didn’t come into the Discord asking any questions — I did my own research.
But within just five minutes of joining, I saw a newcomer who had bought a snake NFT (clearly the rarest part of the chair). His genuine question was why the snake multiplier was lower. Instead of anyone taking the time to explain that, the admins and members piled on with insults and mockery.
A few days later, another new member—someone clearly unfamiliar with DePIN—got tricked by one of the Discord scammers and was confused. Again, instead of offering an explanation or a bit of sympathy, people mocked him too.
I get that it’s not always the admins starting this behavior, but the problem is that they accept it, normalize it, and often join in themselves. For me, that’s a principle issue. If the culture around a project treats newcomers that way, it’s not something I want to support—especially when the money side of things is never guaranteed.
Thanks for keeping the conversation respectful, appreciate the comment!
I joined the Discord excited to learn more, but honestly, the community was a big letdown. Any question that wasn’t deemed advanced enough would get a snarky reply from admins, and then everyone else piles on. From what I can see, this is a full-on meme project fueled by social media hype—definitely one of those situations where you don’t want to be the last one holding the bag. Rewards are already dropping, which is normal for any DePIN project, and with the NFT needed to generate rewards costing at least $300, it just doesn’t feel sustainable.
I’m personally out on this one. What do you all think?
