@HeloFreak Glad to hear your experience was good. I think I am in the same boat where its just waiting on the batches to arrive. I found the technical support from Wingsbits was excellent and I had been shocked that it went from bot to person.
On the GEOD side of things I’ve been averaging 11-12 GEOD a day. Before the LNA failure I was in the top 10% for WINGS which is positive.
I had debated getting an external antenna to boost performance since I’ll be up on the roof yet again but I’ll probably settle with just adding a longer pole. I live up on a hill with houses behind me being higher up but still can view down into the town and other area’s from up high. So I think an extra 5-10 feet would be perfect. (also why I mull the additional antenna over)
For anyone wanting to get into the weeds I found the technical manual especially informative https://docs.wingbits.com/get-started/hardware-needed/theoretical-range-of-coverage
^^This section on how to find out your theoretical range to compare with real range helped show if something was in the way.
My MGW310 also failed in the first month. It’s been very frustrating waiting to hear when it’ll be replace but the project itself seems great. Unfortunately mine is on a pole 2 stories high and was not an easy project to complete especially since they want it to be sent back before they ship which means it’ll be an extra trip up several ladders to complete this. The dashboards and maps are fun to explore locally. I still think this project will be a success.
