@Carnbrea The dual miner is a good option and it saves you ~$150 compared to buying separate miners.
However you need to be careful about Wingbits earnings as it’s dependent on air traffic and how you mount it. Use the Wingbits website to look at nearby stations and see how their earnings are doing. If other stations around you are able to get >100 wings/day then in general I’d say it’s a good choice to go with the dual miner.
However I would be cautious about mounting on top of an active chimney…I’m not sure how well the station health will perform after long exposure to heat and soot.
I’m arguing with myself about pulling the trigger and ordering either a Geodnet CM, or a combined Geodnet / Wingbits unit. I have a location with no other stations for miles around, but have to mount the antenna on a pole off the side of an occasionally active chimney. Apart from that head scratcher, the project makes perfect sense to me.
