It does support wifi
The base station (silver box) needs to be plugged into a wall, but the line out of that box that connects the antenna has a proprietary cable that splits part of the way down that ends with an ethernet (RJ45) male plug and a DC power out plug. Offhand I don’t recall if it can communicate via Wi-Fi but it might be irrelevant if you have to run the 2-in-1 cable out to the antenna in order to supply the antenna with power, anyways.

I know the combo unit for Geodnet and Wingbits, MGW310, would require power injection but can it run off wifi or does it require hard wired Ethernet?
I have an electrical outlet in the attic but no Ethernet wiring.

You need to plug the ethercable the first time for configuration, there you can add your wifi. Afterwards it can work on your wifi alone. So configure it before taking it to the roof ;)
