@PacketThrower Why not both? I’ll be getting the Brusho Friday and my Cudis 002 will arrive Friday to replace my 001.

@PuNkYsHuNgRy I need to save up mu pennies, I purchased 2 of each; Geodnet and Wingbits, a K1 unit, Beamable license, and BrushO. Perhaps next time around I’ll get the Cudis.
Was your Cudis 001 a good move? What is making your jump to the 002?
@PacketThrower I love my 001, I’m getting the 002 because it was free for staking my tokens. Better battery life is the main reason. I will miss my fidget spinner though! Also mine is a tad too big and the 002’s are a bit smaller so it should fit better as well.
I like their app and how it shows you where you’ve brushed and how well. I’m considering to get it for my kids as a way for them to learn to brush better.
and also to get them to work farming me crypto…they need to start carrying their weight in this household
I was using the BrushO for a bit and have had enough time to give my thoughts on it.
First the concept of the project, it collects health data and attempts to sell it to dental/insurance companies. The concept kind of makes sense. If there’s really any demand, will they be able to sell the data? Who knows.
The quality of the toothbrush itself feels good, it’s got a fancy screen on it and the toothbrush heads are a medium-soft bristle. The white version has these speckles in it like marble would.
The battery lasts long, I have only charged it once and still at like 80% after multiple brushings (10+).
Something I’ve noticed is when you open a link a new brush head, the countdown starts right away, even if you do not use the brush head its still going down. I don’t think most people would be affected by this but it does suck if you go on vacation and lose a week or what ever of rewards if you forget to bring your toothbrush.
Some other things I’ve tested is you can brush your teeth without having the app opened and then when you have your phone near it you can then sync the data. Although I don’t know how many brushing session it can store. Also I don’t really know if you don’t upload the stored data for a couple days are you going to be back paid for the brushing uploaded later.
One other con I found IMO is the brushing result feels subpar to a Philips sonic care, and what I mean by that is my teeth feel much cleaner with the Philips sonic care tooth brush vs the BrushO. I filmed a video about this to demonstrate what I mean. You can see it here: https://x.com/DePIN_Daddy/status/1953445178510811581
BrushO did respond to the video:
Do I care? Not really, i’m not spending my time to investigate if this is true or not(legacy toothbrush vs crypto science), in the end my teeth feel way cleaner with the Philips. I do think how ever if you are coming from a manual toothbrush or a OralB you would like this.
For earning rewards one pain in the butt thing was getting the right amount of pressure for maximum rewards. You need to stay in the blue range on the brush to get a 1x mutiliper. I feel like this is way too much pressure, I don’t normally brush that hard my teeth so it was odd to say the least.
Some good things about this project is it really forces people to brush their teeth daily, because the rewards. I do like how every 90 days if you don’t change the brush head the rewards start to go down (all dentists say replace toothbrush every 90 days).
As we are talking about the toothbrush heads, the Philips heads for example are about 44 bucks for 4: https://amzn.to/4lxsQo9 (affiliate link btw)
The BrushO heads are 29$ for 4 of them on Heliumdeploy: https://heliumdeploy.com/products/brusho-replacement-heads
So the BrushO heads seem like a better value since cheaper and you earn tokens. You can however get generic heads for Philips but lets keep it fair from same OEM.
This is a strange project, because I can imagine people will buy this first as the “toothbrush” and think about the rewards second as a bonus IMO. I don’t know any ROI times on this but it’s something you can probably justify because it’s really helping you brush your teeth.
Last but not least we made a setup guide video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSoHkqfc2lA
PS: I don’t use this toothbrush anymore and went back to my old one.
I ordered mine a few days ago and waiting for it to arrive. I was debating between that and one of the Cudis Rings.
