The FIP-017 discussion period is now live for 3 days.

FIP-017 explores whether Fry Networks should move toward Fry 3.0, a single unified Fry token designed to replace Fry 2.0 and simplify the token side of the ecosystem.

This follows FIP-016, which authorized merging FryHub miners into one Fry Edge Miner model and replacing deprecated IoT miner types with Fry Edge Miner keys.

The discussion covers:

• One unified Fry token
• Supply based around tFRY, fNODE, and fVPN
• 1:1 convertibility goals
• Fry 3.0 replacing Fry 2.0 utility
• Automatic replacement of verification stakes
• fVPN presale users affected by Streamflow issues
• Possible Smithii presale and Solana-to-Algorand bridge

After discussion, community feedback will be folded into the final version before a 1-week vote.
