With sorrow in my hearts, I announce the PASSING of one more WingBits WB200, serial 9AEE, who left us this morning in Brazil.
For 30 days, it worked with outstanding performance, achieving the largest coverage ever recorded in Brazil, reaching 114 hexes across central South America.
Together with its partner MGW310, they extended coverage over 1,700 km from North to South and 1,300 km from East to West, totaling 143 hexes.
Today I mourn not just a device, but a SPIRIT OF INNOVATION taken too soon.
This painful loss reminds us of a fragile design that could one day claim thousands of devices.
This unfortunate loss forces us to RE-EVALUATE an exceptional project, but one marked by a critical design flaw that could potentially lead to as many as 3,990 similar failures of other devices.
As dedicated enthusiasts, I deeply regret this outcome and strongly hope the project will recover, move forward, correct its mistakes and care for the many ORPHANS left behind by WingBits.
