This project is definitely something that I would recommend at the very least learning about it. It is growing by the day and more and more partners are joining up. I really do see this becoming a major. The community is great and tbe project potential keeps expanding as well. As far as the miners go its simple ti setup other than the roof part lol. Hodl!!!! This will be big big…

I really really wish they would allow for hex reservations, it cost them selling a 2nd MGW310 because of the long wait for shipments earlier this year. I had planned and purchased 1 to go at my house and was planning a 2nd location at my parents. Well why waited almost 2 months for shipping someone else placed a station. Meanwhile my WB hex was reserved and I was able to deploy a WB200 instead of a MGW310.

Even though the GEOdnet side of the MGW310 did not fail because of a faulty station I lost 30 days of WB mining and then I lost my binding NFT from the GEO side and had to start over with my new station. Luckily that station is in a rural area where there is no competition so I should be able to bind the NFT without any issues

I purchased the Hyfix MGW310, I found it super simple to install and get up and running.

From unboxing to having the system up and running took under 15 minutes.

Installation on my roof was a breeze using the supplied hardware.

I would recommend that you upgrade your roof mounting solution if you live in an area with high winds.

I also relocated my ADS-B antenna to keedp the base more stable in the wind. I used LMR400 coaxial cale connected to AUX 1 and remotely attached my antenna to the top of my TV antenna pole.

There is currently a hardware issue that affects some units have a read of the following document and see if it effects you.

There are a whole host of online resources if you get stuck, but to be honest it was all very straight forward.

Solid system and customer service. Had an issue with the antenna going out and GEDNET addressed immediately, sent out a replacement and I am now back on line. Couldn’t have happened any faster than it did. Unlike other outfits they kept in constant communication up to shipping out the replacement and after. What else could you ask for!

Wendy was hands down the best!!!!

From the idea to the implementation, everything went smoothly, I assume with some minor problems that are being resolved along the way, the project is still active with over 18,000 stations, it participates in all major fairs, I hope it will come to EXPO 2027 in Serbia.

The support is commendable.

Keep it up.

Keep in mind the blue tubing you used to protect the cable and the connector at the antenna location can trap moisture, and raise the risk of corrosion on the connector. It might be a better option to leave it exposed to the air.

@Xrave You can probably see that the connector is protected by black insulating tape and only the cable is in a corrugated hose. I think this is better for protecting it from rain, snow, or at least that's how I do it. Any water that penetrates can weaken the signal by a few dB, which we definitely don't want.

@Carnbrea I think I didn't understand you very well. You are asking if it is water-cooled, it is located outside in the open air to have the best possible view of the sky without obstacles for better satellite reception, of course it is exposed to all atmospheric conditions. If you meant this blue ribbed hose, that's for the cables. I like to additionally protect everything possible.

@dm69 it looked like the blue water pipe we have here in the UK. It’s a good idea to put the cables through a duct - I’m keeping an eye on all the install photos for good ideas like yours before I order a geod miner myself.

price needs to improve, the project will slow down a bit after the halving on June 30th. 8 months to break even will not entice to many people to jump on board
