I found them useful as I was recently getting into DePIN. My friend Andy was the first one I really liked. I do believe he only shills what he believes in. I like grumpy, rough around the edges but honest. Brad from Depinconnection is fantastic, I think he is super trustworthy. Tactical investing seems slimy. Those are really the only ones I pay attention to.
Grumpy is the only one I see down in the trenches with us other degens. All others are fake.
What do we define as a depin influencer?
I try to influence people with depin. Am I an influencer? ;)
@bob_carsyn I agree with that lol some of the guys here like @Xrave @Yakob @PuNkYsHuNgRy @JD know much more then influencers… not even close! We hope to make this platform a place where real knowledgeable DePIN deployers BECOME the influencers!
I think most of them are complete sell outs. There’s a few I do like which include GrumpyDad He’s how I found out about Defli (scam project unfortunately) which then turned me onto Wingbits 2 years ago I think, when you can build DIY units. I’ve noticed I hate influencers more and more as they push more sponsored garbage to milk commissions.
I don’t trust them that much… maybe some of them but most are there for the cash like you said!
It used to feel like DePin influencers were just regular people, trying out new projects and sharing their thoughts on youtube or twitter.
Lately though, it seems like some are just chasing affiliate cash and hyping up anything without really digging into it or knowing what’s up.

Only useful for product release info and discount codes - same as ASIC influencers. Some of these influencers get info before the general public so it’s sometimes beneficial.
Most of the time however, they have no care in the world for peoples investments and stand behind the “This is not financial advice” line while pushing sales on a product they know will fail.
