@AndrewSzz Go into the menu to the About section then check for the firmware and GNSS update options

also noticed no internet connection you have nothing driving for free
now with the hexquest still work to do 5/day
fun factȘ in my country i am the only one with geoPulse)gladly i got time to do all the hex arround me)
@AndrewSzz GEODNET should give you extra rewards just for doing all that driving! Once this quest is over, I won’t be able to do anymore, as all the hexes within a reasonable driving range will be done. Doesn’t make sense to continue when I will spend more on gasoline and wear and tear on the car to get to an empty hex than I will earn in tokens, at least at their current value.
Blue = device connected but not mapping
Purple = problem with the geopulse, likely firmware isn’t updated
Yellow = mapping but not getting RTK performance
Green = mapping with RTK, which is required for all rewards
You need to drive a fairly decent distance with green in order to get iotex, but also keep in mind iotex has had lots of issues that sometimes prevent earning the token, even if you are green. You would need to get help on Geodnet’s server for it.
But keep in mind you can only earn 2 Iotx per day…not even $0.05, so I wouldn’t worry too much about losing out on the rewards.

@Xrave Thank you again for taking the time to respond! This is very helpful. I’m not so much worried about the IOTX rewards as you say not worth anything. Just want to get a better handle on what’s happening. Would you also happen to know in the case of being yellow, am I driving too fast (60 - 65 mph) for it to get RTK performance?
@Compass It’s probably not speed related. Most likely It’s related to trees or buildings surrounding you.
The other factor to consider other than the RTK is cell coverage. You can’t fix points without it.
@Compass It’s finicky. As @2etgn1asx+6a1b4da0 mentioned you need to be within range of a Geodnet station (you can check on the Geodnet coverage map, not console map), and need to see enough of the visible sky. Not really related much to speed, although I’m sure there is an upper speed bound but probably very fast.

@Xrave I was referring to cellular coverage. Not the geodnet coverage. What is the range of a station? I’ve been 4-5 hexes away from one with no issues.
Does anyone have a link with information about / or know how to interpret the colors of the tracking lines appearing in the Pulse App as it is collecting data? I.e. I can see the RTK in the upper left, and can see the Sky View which shows me the satellite configuration. I start with the Go icon, and as I travel, the RTK symbol and the track are sometimes yellow, sometimes green, sometimes blue.
Is this an indication of the “majority” of satellites that are being used (e.g. Galileo, BeiDou) at any given time?
I’m mostly asking because my ability to collect IOTX is very sporadic. Even a full 48 hours apart (or more) and even driving for over an hour. This makes me wonder if I have to be on a specific GNSS in order to collect IOTX.
Thanks for any ideas / documentation on this!
Thanks to everyone for their responses! Appreciated. What I neglected to mention before is this is a route I travel routinely, and I’ve gotten IOTX before. I do have the latest firmware installed. Ultimately, I’ll chalk it up to bugs / issues with the Pulse that still need to be ironed out. Learning experience!
