@Xrave than for it should be like 3 months since I paid 200$
@AndrewSzz in that case for your driving that is the third best project ROI, behind only #1 Entropy which you can’t sell, and #2 Helium wifi which is dependent on other people connecting to your station.
So in reality, Rovr is actually #1 for you because it’s only dependent on your own driving habits with a token you are able to sell without penalty.
@Xrave i shipped my ROVR in DE and waiting for it come to MD already for 2 weeks, so annoying not being in EU
P.S. or US anymore)
These guys looks like scamming people it was 149$ just the ROVR, than they updated it with the cell mount included and the pack was 200$, but the mount separate costs 30$. its hard to get money back (ROI) from these mining devices and they still make money on devices people dont need, like the question is how do you want to build a strong community and a good project when you fail on such small things from the start?
The price of a device isn’t just the material cost. Shipping with the added size and weight of the mount also adds cost + the TX devices shipping now are new designs to reduce the chance of breaking the USB dongle (cost of engineering time to redesign), etc.
Anyways, the TX can get a fairly fast ROI, depending on how much you drive. It earns about 0.9 points per km, so about $0.009 per km. ROI after about 22k km. For some people that might take a year, for others less than 2 months.
