I’m honestly considering moving the Hotspot from the business to my home, there are more consistent compatible carriers here than at the business. My PoC rewards went from $1.20-$1.30 to $.20 a day.

It is quite silly but it works. I do have a 100/100 connection at the house but the helium speed test catches a 90-95 Mbps down test. However, from my light usage, I matched the earnings with it just sitting at the photography studio.
I will get all other devices moved to it and my ubiquiti environment.
@PacketThrower can you elaborate a bit more on this? Is the Poc Multiplier higher at your house than at the business?
home PoC rewards + own phone usage > business data offload + business PoC rewards?
@NodeNomad Oh course. I took a few moments to check world.helium.com and no the original location has a 1x multiplayer, my house has .003x. But I'm seeing just under a GB of data I'm at the same amount of earnings as a days worth of PoC under a 1x multiplier.
As of right now, once I get three of my helium phones connected, which includes my son, myself, and my wife. I feel i will accumulate more now since PoC earnings were halved. I've never been able to get any data usage on that hotspot since I implemented it in October of last year, the wrong carriers are offloading for my area.
@PacketThrower Gotcha! Makes complete sense. It is a shame there is no resell marketplace offered here or by helium for hotspots that are no longer viable due to the communities voting through HiPs to change the direction of the project. But those phones should get you back to ROI within a year if you haven’t already! Not sure if you have checked out https://planner.hellohelium.com/ before but that’s another tool I’ve used before buying and deploying outdoor hotspots to maximize profits and coverage area.
@NodeNomad I appreciate the reply. Yea I did have great PoC returns from October 2024 till about a month ago. ROI on these unit' were great. And I wish I purchased more, but not getting Data earnings steered me away. I am in a small rural area so not having large traffic around me, I need to rely on PoC earnings.
I don’t think it will go to the moon but it will definitely ease the tension on miners … the token price should go up in short terms at least
He used the term revenue. Is it actually revenue? And if it’s really 100% revenue burn…then where do they make money? Agreements with carriers for wifi offloads?
@Xrave from my understanding the model was always to end up making their money from a % of the GBs offloaded for the big companies they are partnered with (tmobile, at&t).
Here's hoping to a successful turnout 🤘
I hope they kill it!

Helium Mobile is always touting about how many “free” subscribers they are getting. Do you think the HNT burn number would be large?
I’m bullish on Helium — both the project and the price. Moving away from PoC rewards to focus on data offload is the right call, since that’s where the real value is. PoC was great for getting hardware out there early on, but the future is all about helping big carriers offload data in congested areas.
