I’ve noticed something that might be worth keeping in mind as the forum grows. When I shared a post that was critical of a certain project, it seemed to receive a lot of downvotes from people associated with the project.
On general-purpose forums, downvotes can be helpful for filtering out spam or low-effort content. But in a space that’s meant for sharing genuine insights about projects, heavy downvoting of critical perspectives could unintentionally discourage open discussion. In particular, when someone speaks critically about a project, those with a vested interest in keeping its popularity up may be more likely to downvote, not because the content is low quality, but because it challenges their position.
That dynamic could lead to only project supporters feeling comfortable speaking up, which doesn’t serve the goal of balanced, informative conversation. Debate and pushback are healthy and should absolutely happen—I don’t know the perfect solution here, but I thought it was worth flagging as an observation.

@NodeNomad Interesting point; its to be expected that you are going to receive down votes from the project creators if you are speaking poorly about their project. If though, you remove the ability to to have a dissenting vote, then there by comparison is no purpose in having the ability to give it a “thumbs up” or like either. If you can only express your “liking” of something, but not dislike, it kind of removes the ability to share your feelings on the topic in the first place and there shouldnt even be the option to display an up or down. If you shared accurate information about a project (say perhaps, that it was under-developed, the product was filled with bugs, the software was poorly designed, etc. - you have to expect that the designers are going to downvote your comments; but the users should then flock to your aide with upvotes, as they have more than likely experienced the same thing.) I think if we are going to use “up or down arrows” (thumbs up/down) or whatever, on anything, we have to have both of them, because if someone says something downright outrageous, and we can only “like it” if we agree, but can’t express our dislike then the voting system is askew from the ground up.

First time actually using the forum, seems pretty fluid to me, nice job.
Sometimes the notifications are salt on the wound lol.. perhaps aggregate them by project so we can psyop ourselves to feel better looking at a big number even after this recent earnings downturn over several major DePIN projects.
Similar “issue” (accuracy, sigh) with month-over-month stats, too. I suppose the only solution is higher profitability which is partially in our control for some projects (relocate to higher offload areas for Helium) and not for others (GEODNET that are already earning at or near the max. 12 $GEOD per day).

When someone posts a new reply on a thread it bumps that thread up to the top of the thread list on the main forum page.
However when you click into that thread, that specific post could be buried very deep in there depending on how long the thread is and which message was actually replied to. Not sure if there a way we can show the recently added messages at the top of the thread as a preview, so we don’t need to search? Or have a button that says “jump to unread/new message”, or something that makes it easier to actually find the new post.

Overall good! had a few hiccups when i cleared cookies in my browser logged somehow my profile got reset a pop up asking me to enter a handler username and profile pic which i already had setup way back, tried to setup again gives me error.
Anyways after a while took a break from my pc came back refreshed the browser found out that my profile pic and username came back.

Here’s what I have in mind: over time, this forum will grown (a lot!). There will be many topics. I am reading a long thread. If I can do a quick ctrl+f and enter the username (or keyword, or any other criteria like date), that would be quite handy!

imo, its a great way to get quick response to any inquiries you ask. think this is a big improvement and it also makes it less worrisome knowing that (at of this post) the users in here are actual depin enthusiasts, not someone on discord pretending to be a KOL while whispering sweet sweet nothings into your ear, trying to catch you with your guard down.
also, its a bit much. the discord that is. and discord takes up so much of your cpu (esp when you dont realize that you have 3 if them opened in the bg. but thats totally user error. sorry, i know it looks like im just complaining about discord and this isnt a discord complaint session, but it needed to be said to make my compliments and appreciation for this forum. tally ho!

I think tagging is ideal since replies to replies, otherwise you get pretty complex nested things, with dedicated pages just for extremely long threads. Just from a dev perspective. Facebook/IG/Youtube limit the depth but you can tag people
